TRUST would encourage each practice, to join the TRUST group of dental practices. These practices would have access to continuous learning in the form of webinars, and can display the TRUST Logo – which will bring the practice recognition. TRUST consulting will help each clinic identify competitive advantage, unique strengths, and access to competitors.

We will also assist with setting core values, help with brand evaluation to include brand guidelines, brand voice, and brand positioning and increase engagement in Social media, and enhance both customer and employee experience. 

We aim for our services and network to cut costs in relation to product and equipment purchases and understand their financial statements, as well as help the practices to differentiate their services, and encourage them to stay at the cutting edge by investing in digital technologies for both the clinical space and the admin space in the business.

We aim to help clinics identify when they have a need for a dedicated HP program, as well as offer coaching on agile work methodology. We include individuals and interactions, working software, employee collaboration, and responding to change. Emphasis will be placed on teamwork, team building, and best leadership practices to ensure the whole team is moving in the same direction – with shared goals, as identified by the owner’s vision and mission statement, combined with the business’s core values.

TRUST aims to empower practices by helping them understand their financial statements at a deeper level. The strategy would be to evaluate the cost of running the clinic, broken down into an hourly cost per surgery, then look to cut costs and increase profit. TRUST has engaged the services of a dental accountant to help teach the clinic owners how to properly understand the 
figures. This would also be implemented in marketing services, to help clinics understand the cost of acquiring a new patient, if using paid-per-click ads – such as Google ads.

TRUST has evaluated and short-listed a number of systems and AI platforms and workflows to help practices manage the administration of their business, ranging from practice and patient management systems to full customer relations management systems (CRM) – and everything in between. TRUST has an in-depth knowledge of these systems and can help fast-track their clients’ achievement of goals and ensure they get the best from their platforms and systems. TRUST also has knowledge of artificial intelligence and how to harness this to automate and streamline

Mark and Helen plan to offer dental wellness retreats – this will be a new offering in the dental education market in South Africa. This approach would identify a variety of fun and inspiring activities, focusing on nature, wellness, and relaxation – as well as interactive group offerings, brought together with some clinical dental education.

It would be a unique opportunity for dental professionals to “get away” from their clinics to socialise with like-minded individuals. This would be a great way to increase their clinical dental knowledge but with a huge emphasis on the social program, which may include activities such as wine tasting, meditation, yoga, inspirational speakers, star gazing, and so forth.
We would like this to be a safe space to talk about the mental health challenges experienced by dentists – and an opportunity to really have fun, without every second of the conference being dedicated to dental education. 

As both Mark and Helen have suffered from burn-out, they are in a unique position to help other clinicians recognise the signs and get help before it’s too late.
